As a Manufacturing Technologist/Engineer at Bevco, you will be a key member of Bevco’s engineering team, and you will contribute to the delivery of Bevco’s high quality conveyors and equipment on time, every time.  You:

  • Diploma or degree in manufacturing or mechanical discipline required
  • Registration with ASTTBC or EGBC is an asset

Additional Asset Skills

Knowledge in any of the following areas but will be considered an asset:

  • Typical standards for create shop drawings for manufacturing
  • Standard conveyor systems components, such as conveyor chain, shafts, motors, sprockets, gears, pneumatics, guide rails, etc.
  • Manufacturing processes (machining, welding, CNC, sheet metal work, laser or waterjet cutting)
  • Stainless steel fabrication
  • Food and beverage packaging industry
  • Thermodynamics and electrical/controls/automation components
  • SolidWorks



Design and Production Support

  • Prepare chain pull calculations to assess chain and wearstrip capabilities
  • Prepare Drive Schedules for project motor specifications
  • Create parts lists and Bill of Materials
  • Support Sales staff in sizing of equipment
  • Program and operate the CNC router for cutting wearstrip curves
  • Prepare and track Production Checklists for each job
  • Develop cut sheets and material lists and other documentation to facilitate the planning, scheduling and controlling of the production process
  • Prepare operations, maintenance and training manuals for equipment and conveyors
  • Provide design and drafting support for manufacturing production
  • Assist sales staff with technical inquiries
  • Carry out testing on production floor for quality control and research
  • Visit production facilities to gather information for sales or design purposes



  • Develop 2D production line layouts for the Sales team using AutoCAD
  • Prepare AutoCAD and SolidWorks shop drawings for sheet metal fabrication, welding, machining and assembly
  • Prepare drawing files and programming for Trumpf laser
  • Update drafting standards and CAD tools
  • Create a database of drawing files for use on future jobs and ensure new details are being saved to the database on a Job-to-Job basis
  • Create design and manufacturing packages to document how all of our equipment is built, including photographic documentation of the equipment at various stages of production
  • Update as-built information based on shop feedback
